Chief Executive Officer & Chairman, TrendyMinds
Trevor Yager
While still a student at Anderson University in 1995, Trevor Yager founded what would become TrendyMinds — a full-service marketing agency built at the intersection of strategy, creative, and technology. More than 30 years later, he's back in the CEO seat, having returned in July 2026 after a stint as Chairman, to lead the agency's next phase of growth: advancing its AI capabilities and deepening its role as a strategic partner to organizations navigating transformation.
Trevor's roots in technology run deep — he built his first website in 1997 — but it was TrendyMinds' partnership with what's now Indiana University Health in 2000 that showed him what was possible at the intersection of healthcare and technology. That relationship, now in its third decade, set the tone for how Trevor built the agency. Client tenure, not turnover, became the norm for the agency. Expanded work with Eli Lilly and Company followed in 2010, and TrendyMinds became one of Salesforce's go-to creative partners in 2014 — both remain clients today.
Trevor's “we, not me” approach to leadership fueled the agency's growth through the 2008 recession, a run of success that earned him an invitation as President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama's special guest at the 2010 State of the Union, spotlighting the agency's diversity, philanthropy, and record performance. Since then, TrendyMinds has landed on the Inc. 5000 list four times, and Trevor has spun off Think Ahead Studios as its own film and animation company.
In late 2024, Trevor stepped back from the CEO role into Chairman — a deliberate move to prove the agency could thrive beyond its founder. In July 2026, he returned to the CEO seat to lead TrendyMinds through what he calls one of the biggest shifts the industry has faced: artificial intelligence.
"After more than 30 years of leading through every major technology shift, I believe artificial intelligence represents one of the greatest opportunities our industry has ever seen," Trevor said. "The environment shifted fast enough that it made sense for me to step back in and lead it personally, continuing to build the capabilities our clients will need and position the agency for what's next.”
